In 1953, Marisa Antonomopolini and Vince Talia get married.

In 1954, Marisa Talia gives birth to their son, Gene.

In 1964, Gene’s schoolmates discover the similarity between Gene’s full name and the word “genitalia.” Gene’s torment begins.

In 1972, Gene’s torment ends after he climbs the water tower by the high school football field and opens fire with a high-powered rifle, killing three and wounding five before taking his own life.

And that is why our town has laws against unfortunate names.
