Fair is fair… and needs a towelJanuary 24, 2011
“Is it fair to say that in America it’s easier to get a handgun than a prescription for Prozac?” I say, reflecting on the Tucson shooting.
“About as fair as it would be to say that if men could pregnant you’d be able to get abortions in supermarkets for the same price as a gallon of milk,” says Tina the Lesbian (aka T. Lesbian), reflecting on the 38th anniversary of the Roe v. Wade ruling that made abortion legal in America.
“And is it fair to say that if a woman doesn’t want to get peed on that she should say something before I go through the trouble of rolling out the plastic tarp?” says Anonymous Doug, reflecting on last Friday night when he brought a girl from the local bar back to his place. “I mean, seriously, show some goddamn consideration, ya dumb ho bag.”
“Is it a sign of desensitization that not only am I not phased at all by Doug’s depravity, but that I actually find his request reasonable?” says T. Lesbian.
I think I would add desensitization to the list of things that are inevitable in life, right next to death and taxes and Tag Larkin.
